What is 60's Plus Dining?
60’s Plus Dining is an adult meal program serving quality nutritious meals to any person aged 60 or over, and their spouses.
Where is 60’s Plus Dining Availabe?
60’s Plus Dining Program is located in many locations throughout our 10 county service area. In East Central South Dakota, and 5 counties in Western South Dakota. These counties include: Brookings, Codington, Clark, Deuel, Grant, Hamlin, Kingsbury, Lake, Miner, and Moody. Bennett, Dewey, Fall River, Meade, and Perkins
Who Is Eligable?
Any resident of South Dakota, aged 60 or older, as well as their spouse or care giver are eligible.
What are Frozen meals?
Frozen Meals are available to any of our clients throughout our 15 county service area. Quality, balanced, nutritious meals, are flash frozen in specialty sealed containers. These can be heated in a microwave, or oven, and provide one third of daily recommended nutrition amounts. Frozen meals are an option for clients who cannot travel to one of our Congregate, or Star Card locations, and Home Delivery is not available. It is also a great option for any clients who need convenience, and wish to have meals ready to heat and enjoy at home.
What do I do if I have dietary restrictions?
Your health and comfort are our priorities. If you have dietary restrictions, we strongly encourage you to communicate them with us to ensure your meals are suitable. Our team is trained to address a variety of dietary needs.
How can I donate or volunteer?
If you’re considering supporting our mission, donations and volunteer opportunities are available. You can fill out the contact form on our website. Every bit of help makes a difference in our community.
What are the service hours for meal delivery?
Our meals are typically delivered weekdays, but we encourage you to confirm specifics as they can vary by location. Our goal is to make mealtime as convenient as possible for you.
How can I change my delivery schedule?
If you need to make changes to your delivery schedule, it’s easy to do so. Just get in touch with our team a couple of days in advance, and we will adjust your plans accordingly.
Is there a cost for the meals?
Senior meals operate on a suggsted donation of $5.00 per meal , however, we encourage you do donate what you can afford. We also accept SNAP payments. Our focus is to ensure that no senior goes hungry due to economic challenges.
Can I purhase meals for a loved one?
It is common for loved ones to purchasing services for a family member. For more information on how, contact the Site Manager, in or near your community.
Can I provide feedback on meals?
Your feedback is invaluable to us. After enjoying your meal, feel free to share your thoughts with us. We’re always looking to improve, and your insights play a key role in that process.
